Sneeze

I stumbled across this earlier today while walking to brunch. Little did I know this box was the only place to purchase this magazine in NYC, and the whole East Coast.

From the Sneeze website:

STREET BOX PROGRAM
The goal is to create a
destination for the reader by
having one box per city in a
select location — like a
flagship store.

More info on Sneeze can be found here with a preview of the first issue here.

The magazine can be also purchased on line here.

Made In Queens

“A group of imaginative tinkerers from Trinidad were working late into the nights creating something nobody had ever seen before: enormous stereo systems jury rigged onto ordinary BMX bikes.”

BMX bikes?
Check.
Soundsystem?
Check.
Any questions?

Information and trailer here.

Thank you Lee and CR Blog.

Where’d you go?

Seeing KAWS in the NYTs gave me a flashback to NYC in the 90s.

Designers Accord

Green, environmental responsibility, sustainability, carbon footprint, these are a few terms that are currently on the design community’s minds and lips; everyone minus the graphic design community that is.

I had felt that way until I read about the Designers Accord, “a global coalition of designers, educators, researchers, engineers, and corporate leaders, working together to create positive environmental and social impact.” In addition to educating clients about design, I am optimistic that designers will also be educating them about the impact design has on the environment.
